one would say it's tequila agave
Yes, wilde barbaren, (whoever you are) you are partially right. The plant is the agave, but they use it here to make a similar and just as lethal drink called Mezcal.
It's not any agave, it's blue agave, which makes the best Tequila, the sipping kind. At least that is my best guess.
